BEWARE! Excel parking Warren Street, Stockport.

I have just joined the forum because I want to warn car users about the unscrupulous excel parking co. I have just fallen victim to what feels like no less than a SCAM!

I drove into the above car park and was unable to find a parking space (busy Thursday afternoon). So left after 12 minutes as stated on the PCN.   I was totally unaware that there was a time limit to buy a ticket or leave quickly.      

The only PCN I have received was delivered 4th December.  (The parking date was 22/10/24)
I ‘did not’  receive an earlier  PCN notice allowing me to pay a lesser fine and I am accused of ignoring the first PCN.  
I highly suspect that one was not issued which now results in a final demand of £100!   Clearly I would have action a lesser fine PCN but did not get the opportunity.
Pretty outrageous £100 for 12 minutes of NO parking?   

EXCEL parking should be ashamed of their scam tactics but I assume they are laughing at yet another victim added to their list.

As above read and follow advice in NEWBIES Announcement thread...complain to Landowner (Plan A) and to your MP.

Excel's bad practice has been getting alot of media attention of late. First time I've heard about it in this car park. Read: Parking stories in the News/media thread
