Vehicle control services LTD - Parking fine

Hi All,
I am hoping someone will be able to provide some advice before I contact them regarding this fine.
I parked in a city center car park that I have used for years and never had any issues. The machine was out of order so I
I have been in contact with Nationwide this morning as there is no pending transaction on my credit card but they are unable to access the historical verification message as there is not an accompanying transaction. Although they advised that this is an issue with the vendor app and they have not actually requested payment.
I have parked here numerous times before but normally my girlfriend pays via her phone.
Is there anything I can do? Not responding is not an option as it is a company car so the lease company will probably hand over my details.
Any help appreciated

you should probably tell the lease company NOT to pay the INVOICE ( it's not a fine ) and you will challenge this.
tell them they should inform VCS when they get a letter that you are the HIRER ( not driver ) so they can then send you the NTH letter.3 -
Do you actually think I have grounds to challenge? I assume they will argue that I should have waited for the transaction to complete but I assumed as with any other app as soon as I approve the payment on my bank app then click continue on the banking app message on their app that payment will be taken.DE_612183 said:you should probably tell the lease company NOT to pay the INVOICE ( it's not a fine ) and you will challenge this.

I have checked and I actually have a screenshot of the app that I have taken by accident that shows the please wait message after I approved the banking app verification request.0 -
This is not a fine - it's an invoice for a perceived breach of contract.
Have a look at the Newbees thread - it's all explained there.2 -
Everyone has grounds to challenge a private PCN, especially with hire vehicles

No blabbing about who was driving, you are the hirer1 -
Obviously yes. It's a scam operation IMHO.disordantfc said:

The Connect app doesn't work well as we've discussed in other threads.

Well my company say they have a pay and recharge policy. I assume any chance of appealing is dead if they pay the fine?1

Refuse to accept that. It was never drawn to your attention so it is an unfair term.disordantfc said:Well my company say they have a pay and recharge policy. I assume any chance of appealing is dead if they pay the fine?
Tell them to name you as the driver and you'll then take on liability and they'll hear no more. INSIST that they do a transfer of liability (the PCN has a slip for that or they can do it online). It's your PCN to appeal.
Get angry. This isn't OK.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This isn't a "fine" - it's an invoice - if they pay invoices without question can you please tell me their name and address and I'll send of a spurious invoice as well and get myself £100 towards Christmas - it may sound flippant but that is what their process boils down to.disordantfc said:Well my company say they have a pay and recharge policy. pay and recharge policy on what?
What are the exact terms of user for the vehicle word for word?
there should be something in there about fines and other traffic offences, what did it say exactly
note this parking charge notice is not a fine or penalty or anything issued by any sort of authority
