Curry's - Home Delivery to Local Store then Rejected

Hello,
Looking for help and advice on the following situation regarding high price Christmas present.
I went into my local store looking to purchase 2 items for Christmas as not confident to do this online and wanted to ensure that I will receive these items. I went into store and spoke to a manager regarding a purchase I wanted to make - firstly, I let them know that I am working full-time and I have nobody at my home to be able to receive parcels - home delivery is not an option for me. I refused to make the purchase after realising that Click & Collect was not an option and since I wouldn't be home for a delivery, I went to leave the store. The manager shouted to me on my way out that these items I wanted to purchase can be delivered to the store in Berryden, Aberdeen. Which would have been great for me so I have agreed to this and made the payment there and then.
I have had issues with being notified about the tracking of my items, I ended having e-mails from Evri, DHL and another. I thought it was coming from another Curry's store? I didn't know this at the time, that the items were not actually coming from a typical Curry's store but from elsewhere.
I went to collect 1 out 3 items, I received only one of them that was delivered and accepted by this store. When querying where my other items are, as DHL said ready to be collected for the others, the customer service advisor at the desk said it is not on their system, no package in store. I said but I have paid and tracking is saying it is here. She reluctantly checked the back, and confirmed there is no such thing in their system or physically in store. I have to go to DHL Depot. When I asked further help with this, she said "Do I look like I work in DHL?!" Along with many sighs and smirking to other colleagues while trying to deal with this situation. I tried to explain to her that I can see the Manager that helped me purchase my items. I said, that I feel like you were quick to help me purchase these items but not to help me figure out what has happened here, as one has arrived and the others missing. He replied, you were quick enough to give us your money. I feel so disgusted and disappointed that I have chosen this store to help with Christmas presents. I was not happy with this as you can imagine, and was then told to wait at the back of the queue, while I can see young colleagues laughing and obviously do not want to deal with this situation I am in. I feel there was absolutely 0 customer service support.
After speaking with my family, showing them the item that was meant to be their gift (I needed some support to help me figure what is going on here.) Turns out the Manager at the time of purchasing the item, used the Curry's store address as my home address, with my name for the "Home Delivery" and this is why I have no reference, no number to be found in their system so they would not help me further. I asked why did one item get accepted and given to me, but the other was refused? Is it because whoever was on shift dealing with deliveries, did the right thing by refusing a parcel because it looks as if someone has just chosen their parcel to be delivered to a company. On the 1st package, I have an invoice number but nothing can be found through their system.
I am at my wits end, Christmas shopping for your family should be enjoyable and I have nothing to show for the money I have saved up for and spent on Christmas gifts.
Why did the manager not apologise and say "sorry, these items are not on Click and Collect and since you can't do home delivery, you should try elsewhere for the item you want to buy."
Has anyone been in this situation and could advise what I do from here? I tried talking to customer services but as there is no reference number, they can't help. I am so put down by how the colleagues treated me at this store, I was first avoided, spoken to in a rude manner and then getting smirks and seeing them giggling like children, because they made me feel like a difficult customer when all I was trying to figure out was where my parcels have gone.
