There's nothing to stop you putting items in a post box if you buy post from Ebay. Obviously you'd need a printer. Have a look for thermal label printers. You can probably pick up a decent second hand one on Ebay for not much. Your only running cost for that is electric and labels.
Some drop off points offer print facilities by a scan of a QR code you get. I'm not sure if RM do that yet but it can't be far off if they don't.

Then it does unfortunately look like Ebay won't be possible for you after February unless you can find an RM locker or a PO that you can use - but not if you prefer to continue using stamps.

This is not good news.    Although I am using online postage for most of my sales, I am still using stamps for cheaper £2-3 sales.  These are the stamps from the broken up presentation packs which are not selling well on Ebay so I am trying to use up these stamps.  I am going to be left with a lot of mint stamps!

I purchased an item from a private seller.It was sent via Evri .After a few days I got the tracking notification 'your item will be delivered tomorrow '.Tomorrow came and I got the notification 'your item has been delayed and will be delivered the next day '.
2 weeks passed, with no delivery and no further tracking updates.
Then Evri arrive with another purchase I had made so I mention the missing item.Turns out the scanner wouldn't recognise the label even when the number was typed in manually so the driver had left it in her vehicle and forgotten about it.
So, I got my parcel but the tracking on eBay has never completed and according to the new rules they seller wouldn't get paid.

A seller can’t mark as delivered only despatched, the delivered status updates when tracking does if tracking is uploaded on despatch. 

If you buy eBay RM labels it’s already automatic, my parcel rate for standard parcels is about 95% updates and for LLs lower at around 80%. The problem is that letters don’t have delivery confirmation and I still have a couple of lines that can go letter rate. 

Obviously couriers are tracked anyway and again on eBay that’s uploaded automatically when you buy postage. 

I think we need to wait to see more clarity around what constitutes deemed as delivered.

It's been a while but I'm sure when one goes to leave feedback one of the questions is 'did it arrive by X date?'.  They can easily change or add an option for buyers to simply confirm it's been delivered - or as speculated above, automate it to X length of time if no case has been opened. 

And with requiring buying postage through eBay the idea is probably that the vast majority will have the tracking work anyway, they'll just need a failsafe for any that don't.

Parcel2Go offer the same rates as Royal Mail directly, there must be a margin in it. 

I do wonder (worry) that eBay will push all private sellers into a situation similar to the global shipping program, i.e the postage is nothing to do with the seller, eBay decide what to charge and just give the seller a label:

Changes to funds availability

On or after February 4, 2025, eBay will typically make the sales proceeds of private sellers available after the order has been delivered or otherwise completed, unless subject to a hold. We’ll use the following criteria to determine when an item has been delivered:

For tracked deliveries, funds will be available 2 calendar days after we receive confirmation from the tracked service that the delivery was successful

For local collection, funds will be available after you exchange the 6 digit code or QR code with your buyer

If the item includes Authenticity Guarantee, funds will be available after the item is successfully authenticated

For items sent via Global Shipping Programme, funds will be available after the item is delivered to the UK shipping centre

For untracked deliveries, or tracked deliveries when there is no delivery confirmation, funds will become available 14 calendar days from the order date

Funds will appear as Pending until the order is delivered and any applicable holds have been resolved. If we place a hold on your funds, it will usually be resolved within 30 days, but in rare circumstances it may take longer. You can use your Pending funds to buy postage labels and give refunds to the buyer. 

To get your funds faster, we recommend using Simple Delivery or other eBay postage labels, which include tracking, and sending your order as soon as possible after the buyer pays.

The bit about local collections, I've both sold and bought where local collection is the chosen option and in many occasions eBay didn't provide a qr code or 6 digit collection code
