Rejected mobile contracts

Hi, I have a credit score (thanks to Martin) of over 900, yet I've been rejected for an additional phone contract at Vodafone and can't reapply for 90 days. I've also been rejected for a new phone contract at EE and can't reapply for 30 days. I've not moved house or changed my bank in decades, so does anyone know why I have been rejected for credit? Thanks

Your credit score is just one persons assessment of your credit worthiness. Another lender will look at your credit history, job situation, affordability etc. and score you completely differently. If your credit file has several recent hard searches, it suggests that you are desperate for borrowing. This suggests you are more of a credit risk and lenders are more likely to turn you down. I suggest you get a PAYG mobile deal now and maybe look to take out a contract at Black Friday next year0
