    Good work!
Now its just waiting to see the buds shoot. If good strong buds come from quite low down you could do a second prune in Spring and put the energy from the plant into the new shoots.

Looks amazing, what a lovely rose.
What's the scent like, lots or not much?

Is that a new bud bearing new shoot, lower right?
If so, you now know you can have it chest/ waist high, come 2026, if you want
Probably too late for second pruning so will hold off till end of the summer but already it is looking so much better (thanks to you!). Sadly any of cuttings have so far not done anything so I am guessing they haven't taken root so will make new cuttings when the time is right.
It may be a bit too soon to judge, I wouldn't rip them out if you don't need to, have patience Grasshopper :)

What a transformation, it looks lovely. If the cuttings in the ground are not brown and dry, leave them there a bit more....

Well that was worth it 😁
How lovely. You must be very proud and it obviously likes what you've been doing.

Just to say when you cut the dead heads off (you don't want it to put energy into making hips) you can do a little judicious pruning if it is a whippy stem by cutting back to just above a bud or a stem joint. I know you wanted you rose to grow inwards to fill a space but it is healthier to have stems & buds going outwards so they don't  criss cross & get more air, and don't grow tangled.

That rose is a picture- wonder what it's name is. Is it scented?

Thank you all and my apologies for the delay due to a family emergency!

Yes, new buds coming through on the lower right side which is great to see!

Scent of this rose is nice but not overbearing or strong. According to our neighbour, they think it was planted 12 or 14 years ago. Sadly
    no idea on name.

There was another rose plant that seemed very weak and diseased with only 1 or 2 yellowish flowers - we tried to move it but it was impossible so we removed it. We regret but it was just in the wrong position.

The garden is coming together slowly and nicely! Even the lavender that we moved looks happier! Some trimming and pruning ahead especially for the Mexican orange and cherry laurel.
