Be Careful of out of contract LPG charges at AVANTI

I have been an Avanti Gas customer for a while. So I needed a bulk tank top up and ordered more gas. Then when I got the invoice was shocked to be charged 77p a litre. Now I am out of contract and they did contact me some months back and I never got round to sorting it. But when current contract price is around 49p, how can they justify 50% mark up? I know its my lack of action. But these corporations just screw you all the time

If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Generally they rely on customer inertia - if you "don't get around to it" , forget or can't be bothered then you seldom get the best deals.
Its pretty frustrating and sometimes time consuming but it's the same with most stuff, gas, electricity, insurance, broadband, mobile phone contracts (even the cost of baked beans etc) you need to shop around to stay on top of it rather than just letting it drift.
Loyalty and inertia costs you moneyNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
