Autopay did not work at yourparkingspace parking

I have parked at grand central Birmingham, which parking payment is managed by "yourparkingspace". I have set auto pay but it seems the car was not recognised or autopay failed to kick in as no payment had been made. I contacted yourparkingspace who confirmed there were no payment made against my car registration and there is anything they can do to back date it.
He mentioned if PCN come appeal it. But any suggestions what my steps are now? Just wait for PCN or contact the actual car park?

I've just had a PCN today for the same thing, same car park. My car has been registered for over 2 years. Once they charged me for 24hrs parking because of a fault with the system (I'd only been parked in there 15 minutes when the 24hr charge came through by text), but recently, I parked on 29 November and just had a ticket for not making a valid payment, even though they should have taken the payment automatically. My daughter has also parked there a few times and not been picked up by cameras, but she hasn't received a PCN, yet.0

Neither of you will be paying the PCN.
Complain complain complain.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There seems to be real issues with this particular app. It's a real mishmash of automation and requiring manual inputs.
Have seen it tell people no payment is due after they've put in their details and times, but then a PCN lands on their doormat.
Take a screenshot of this thread should you need it in future.1 -
Just received the PCN, it appears that car newly registered on the app does not turn on auto pay and you had to manually enable through a different website.
therefore at the time of parking, my autopay was not enabled. Do not know if I have a case or not, as on their website clearly said newly registered vehicle will not have autopay enabled.
Yourparkingspace can only provide before I park the system shows a vehicle had been removed.0 -
If the owners of this car park and their various contracted agents want to use technology for charging that either doesn't work to the customer's benefit or is confusing that's their issue surely, why would you need to visit the website again if you have their app!

- Added new car to the system without knowing autopay is not automatically enabled when adding new vehicle (saw this comment on FAQ a week later)
30/11/24
- 19:18 entered the car park
- 20:55 left car park
01/12/24
- Contact yourparkingspace as I see no payment was made
- on the same date I noticed autopay was disabled and enable on 1/12/24)
