The spend and save plus has a £3 fee and if you make the debit card transactions you get £5 was what I was basing it on. Xx
Ah OK. Above you mentioned Spend and Save (which has no fee) rather than Spend and Save Plus (which has a £3 fee per month). You can only have one Plus account for yourself and a joint one.

Sorry, yes I did. I guess there is mileage in opening endless non plus ones and exploiting the 6 month cashback (and potentially quidco /top cashback) too.

Yes, it's pretty much a monthly ritual, but doesn't take very long.

The Quidco/TC you can only get if you have one TSB account and once. You can't keep getting it for each account you open, well you can try but it just gets declined.

My only other consideration on this is whether to crack on now or wait for a bank switch bonus to come along but unsure if already having a tsb account would preclude me from being able to get a switch bonus.

You could open your S&S Plus account now and then when the next switching offer comes along, open a new S&S account to get the bonus. Once you haven't received a switching bonus since the date specified in the T&Cs of the offer (it's been October 2022 for the past few offers, but that could change).

Only thing is if you're going for Quidco/TC as well, you can only have one TSB account when they assess your claim and that process can take up to 120 days. So if a switching offer comes along before they assess your claim and you have 2+ TSB accounts at the time they can decline your claim (you'd still get your switching bonus though, assuming you've satisfied all the T&Cs of the switch offer).

Thanks. I guess worth risking missing out on quidco/tcb 30 quid for a substantial switch offer so I'll probably apply

Although Quidco usually advertises it at £30, when you log in it often reduces to something like £22.50. Also, you're gaining £5 per month (£2 for Plus) for each month including this month if you can get your 20 debit card transactions processed before the end of the month so that lessens the loss of the Quidco bonus, which you may still get.

I assume it's per calendar month from the 1st?

Yes. Your 20 debit card transactions need to have fully processed (not just pending) by the end of January to get your £5 reward. This usually takes 2 working days but sometimes can be a bit longer. So get them done as early in the month as you can.
