Bank accounts with married and maiden surnames, Lloyds bank

Back in the day it would have been possible to have separate surnames on accounts, but I suspect these days it is a case of computer says no, and all the experienced staff who could make this happen are long gone.
It is fairly common for married females to keep maiden names in their profession - I know many solicitors who do this.
(Again going back many years you could use a function on the system ''also known as'' say Biggs and Bodger and of course it would be used for famous personalities such as Reg Dwight / Sir Elton John etc)1 -
Also if you open an account with Bank of Scotland and Halifax the profile seems to be linked these days as I’ve changed on one and they updated both. The Bank of Scotland or Halifax accounts can’t be seen on the Lloyds online account or app though and it’s the same vice versa.0

I kept my unmarried name on my joint account with NatWest. And then a couple of years later opened a sole NatWest account with a different email address with my married name (someone had sent me a cheque in my married name and it was just easier to open a new account). Two different customer profiles and separate log in details. I have the app set up to one and access the other via online banking.
How about you switch out one of the accounts to a different bank and maybe get a switch bonus in process.Debt Free: 01/01/2020

At present I have an account with Sainsbury's using my maiden name. All other accounts are using my husband's surname.
However, one security question used by Sainsbury's is whether I am known by another name and I answer honestly and pass security. They have done the linking - perhaps through a NINo. However I have accounts with them formally using only the one (maiden) name.1
