Love Holidays issue

I booked with Love Holidays at a hotel that advertised adult only facilities and other amenities. However, the hotel has removed these facilities and if I want what I booked, I have to pay more. LH are saying we can move but will charge us whatever the difference in cost plus an amendment fee. They are refusing a refund of what I have already paid. The flights are booked with TUI and TUI are saying they are safe and LH cannot touch them. I want to keep the flights and will ensure LH are paid in full for flights and book my own accommodation. Has anyone done this? The rest of the party are concerned that LH are able to cancel flights.

Sometimes hotel facilities become unavailable and unless there is a very significant change, it's not LH's problem.  If you want a different hotel, why not let LH book the hotel you want?  If LH are responsible for the flights and accommodation then you have extra protections from the Package Travel Regulations.

If the changes to the hotel facilities are significant then you're entitled to cancel for a full refund.

If they're not then you're at the mercy of the Ts & Cs you signed up to with LH, which may not permit you to remove one element of the package while retaining the rest, or at least may impose charges for doing that....
