No we don't need our own thread- we'll just hijack another one!!

you certainly need to stir it part way through! that way the top layer gets into the liquid, then it all starts to cook down.

Hope it all goes well tomorrow......

    Ho ho ho!! :D@Organgrinder
  • Turned out ok!
  • Hope you didn't position your pig in a blanket and stuffing like this when you were watching the Kings speech @Organgrinder >:)
  • As good a film as it was, I don't think it was on telly today.

However there was something called Sausage Finger. Might have been a James Bond trailer for all I know. I'm sure I heard a mention of Odd Job but I may be getting that confused with someone else.

Red cabbage a la Delia can be made several days before as it keeps well  and can be frozen too) you can even make it in the slow cooker
Apologies for reviving the red cabbage.

There's still some in the fridge. I wasn't very well after Christmas and haven't been able to face it.

Time to ditch it, or sniff it first?

I would certainly sniff it first- and look too.

If no mould! I would reheat, bring up to full temp not just warm for say 5 mins?, then either eat now or freeze some. It does contain some vinegar so should be fine anyway.

you could freeze in portions and then bring out for... Easter??
