Hi, I've just received a letter from dcbl for £170, for a parking fine from may 2019. It says I have 14 days to pay or they will recommend it goes further. I dint have that kind of money, any advice would be great.

Definitely ignore debt collectors in Scotland, same as we advise for the rest of the UK1 -
I took advice to ignore a DCBL collection and I have now received a "Money Claim" from gov (see my other thread)
I will be challenging it for sure. But it is good to know that those things can happen when ignoring.
I have also just received another DCBL letter, demanding £170 for something random in 2021. They are vultures.1 -

THE LAW IS DIFFERENT.
The OP just needs to ignore DCB because nothing will happen. In their case the LimitationPeriod for court was FIVE YEARS and that period has passed already.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
