just a final question on this Keith - at what point is Plan A no longer applicable - is it when ive been issued with court proceedings? up to that point? just checking as i tend to overthink and get worried easily

Plan A can even work after a court claim but far easier at this stage. Is the fake PCN for alleged 'overstay'?  That's illegal under the Equality Act 2010. Tesco MUST allow you more time than able-bodied shoppers.

Tell the Manager that fact.

INSIST on speaking to the Store Manager, not the first old biddy or kid on the CS desk.

DO NOT hand over the actual letter, just a copy of it, so they can cancel the PCN.

Next time you visit, go to the CS desk and ask for exemption from the parking time limit. They can put you on a daily exempt cars list.

FINALLY: your V5C logbook address isn't up to date is it? The PCN and reminder went to an old address, I'm guessing.
