Hi everyone.
We have been in for a week now! Hurrah. She left the house in an asbolute MESS and our single macerator toilet is broken... but I have never been happier. The house needs a bit more work than I thought (don't all houses?) but it will be saved for. Payday in 3 days, and then we can see how well my budget works.
Debt is now 48.24% paid off! I have paid off everything that is non-Stepchange, and I have paid off quite a few creditors that are on Stepchange and have agreed to decent settlement figures. I am getting between 40-50% off each one. I paid my biggest friend loan back, and rounded it up a bit to thank her for all her help over the years. It's a huge weight off me to know that that is dealt with.
We should be getting the van back this evening if all goes to plan as the final bits are now almost fixed. I am off to Cardiff for a three day conference tomorrow; unfortunately I have lost most of my clothes in the depths of our storage unit so will be going hunting later this evening. We are going to have to get rid of most of the furniture we put in there annoyingly, as it quite simply will not fit. On the plus side, a lot of it is sell-able so it can go in the kitty.

Had a letter this morning from Link to say one of my debts is unenforceable currently, as they are unable to comply with my request for account information within the 12-day initial timeframe.

From reading other comments on this forum, I would say it is NOT collectable at the moment... but I would definitely wait to get advice from the far more informed experts on here.
A lovely update from Monday on your progress - so pleased you're finally moved, hopefully you got the van back, and you must feel like a huge weight has been lifted from your shoulders paying your friends!0 -
The debt still exists, it’s just not enforceable through the courts.
