Child ctf won't let anyone pay in or me as name xhanged

Options
My oldest daughter had ctf and at the time it was opened my surname was mauden name, however as me or family may have paid in it allowed bank deposits monthly. My youngest daughter with natwest, not only wint allow me as my bank name is now different, orhers can't make a payment either, they're saying we need to fill forms in one for each person, have them signed and witnessed. This is just to pay in not take out? Have you ever heard the likes?

    Their fund, their rules.
Can you not just complete the forms as they requested?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

CTFs are obsolete, you should convert it to a JISA, and then move to a better provider.

In some ways, it doesn't matter whether providing proof of a name change in order to be able to pay into a bank account is necessary or not because you're going to need to do it in order to be able to update your details on the bank account (and for the child to access it once they're 18) at some stage anyway so, as suggested, I would just fill in the forms as requested - there's unlikely to be a way round it.

You also don't want to be in a position where your child's surname isn't correct at the time they want to access the money, when people in normal circumstances have struggled to access it : https://www.theguardian.com/money/2022/may/07/teens-access-child-trust-funds-natwest

If you have a NatWest branch nearby, I would investigate whether it's possible to show your marriage certificate there, to save you the risk of sending it through the post or the hassle and cost of getting a copy certified.
