Trading 212 Cash ISA - Interest on uninvested cash

Hi all.

Sorry if this has been asked already . I've had a search but can not see this previously asked.

I recently opened an ISA for this year and deposited funds. And the main Cash ISA screen says the correct amount for the account.

On the notifications however I get a daily notification about the daily interest, but this says interest on uninvested cash.

My question is whether this is normal? Is my money in the ISA or is it uninvested?

I get similar messages for interest on the cash held in my Stocks and Shares ISA. Obviously this is cash that has not (yet) been used to buy shares, and so is uninvested.

I would imagine that they are just using the same message for interest paid on the Cash ISA, even though these are funds that will never be used to buy shares.

Yes - as Trading212 is primarily an investment platform, your money will be 'uninvested' with them in cash form as far as they are concerned, rather than 'invested' in stocks and shares.

When on this forum, I always try to use the term 'saved' for cash accounts and 'invested' for anything related to stocks and shares, as this helps to avoid confusion.

Thank you for the response to the uninvested cash question. The response was helpful as I, too, was not sure what it meant.
