Good morning, it's another frosty one here.

Yesterday was an ok day, just pottered along. Today will be the same I think.

Brrrrr it's icy out there this morning.  On days like these I'm glad I'm not out there in the dark de-icing the car to go to work

Getting my hair cut today, thank goodness.  Feel like a shaggy dog.

A bit of housework before she comes and then the day is my own.

Morning All

Thanks for the start Scarlet.

Very cold this morning with a hard white frost, will need to go and defrost the car in a minute.

Hopefully someone will be coming later to pick up the sofas I'm selling, got my dates mixed up and the new one doesn't arrive until 8th December! I have bought an armchair that is in my friends shed so will have to go and get that later so I have something to sit on. Really hoping they do turn up as I've taken the feet off them to get them out of the doors!

We put the Christmas trees up at school yesterday as it's the Christmas Fair tomorrow, it looks very festive.

Hope your DD and the little one are enjoying their holiday dp1.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET.  A frosty start here too. Sun is forecast all day but, despite that. the temps are not going to rise above 4 deg.

Usual kitchen and bathroom once over this morning then this afternoon I am going with DD to visit the matriarch of the family. She is the eldest of the extended family. I am next in line!!  Eeek!  She has just moved from a detached house to a one bedroom apartment and, despite getting rid of lots of stuff before the move, she is left with a large Royal Doulton dinner service which has been offered to lots of family members..DD who is ever the soft touch, said she would like it, not giving a thought to where she would put it all. I can see it ending up in my loft!!

So that is the excitement of my day!  Hope you all have a good one if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care and stay safe xx

Camelot, you asked yesterday if we'd won the Tuesday evening quiz - yes we did and it's my turn to set next week's so I've started that. The winning team always sets the following week's quiz, team members take turns.

At least you'll have one chair - Wouldn't like to think of you without a chair to your name till 8th December!

Gorgeous sunrise with frost and fog here - looks chilly but very pretty.

DMum had a successful shopping trip yesterday so is happy about getting some Christmas gifts. I only bought one thing which is even better.    Managed some baking and cooking in the afternoon.  

Today will be a walk along the canal with Bdog though I think he’ll need his winter coat on.  

I did half a job with sorting some craft stock yesterday so need to finish that too.

Morning all - @AA - I've been sitting in my armchair watching the glorious red / pink / blue sunrise too though I think it means a bad weather day ahead.

@RosyRed - I hope that your OH has sailed through his hip OP OK. I was thinking about him yesterday.

There's a hard frost outside so, no doubt I'll have to de-ice the car before I go out later this morning.

Morning! The electriian didn't turn up, there was an emergency meeting or something. I also went to pay for the kitchen, card delined twice. Right I thought, I'll phone and wait in the shop. Twenty mintues later got through to someone who then after a few mintues conversation put me through to someone else, twenty minutes later they answered, turns out, when someone tried to use my card to buy crocs [ I woulnd't ever even imagine buying some of those] it should have been cancelled even though I phoned about it at the time and was told all was ok. After another fifteen minute conversation where I discovered my card was registered on all sorts of sites to pay for things I hadn't done, the card was indeed cancelled and I looked like a complete prat in the shop. She did tell me I could make a complaint and I'm thinking about doing that now. I'm going to the allotment this morning to see if there are any groundhseets left in place and the plan is to cut down the raspberries and strim the fruit cage area, then bring the sticks home ot be shredded. I got myself a boot puller because I have these super duper wellies which fit lovely, and are really warm but I can't get them off my left foot [ stupid ankle] so I've been having to wait until OH is home to get them off No longer!  

Rosy, hope all is ok with your husband, crossed fingers for a quick recovery. SO, you and me both! I think cake and tea would be better in this weather Allie, congrats on the shopping trip and not spending Gers, hope your weather bucks the sunrise trend! Take care all, stay warm, drink toddies!

Morning everyone
Frosty here too with a lovely blue sky.
Camelot - well I haven't heard from them since yesterday morning so all must be well with little one, though DD said she's full of cold.
When we moved into this house, I ordered new sofas...DD put the ones I had on Facebook and sold them while I was at work one day. We had to sit on sun loungers for about 4 weeks!
I've got work at lunchtime, then tonight we have a pottery making event at school, for adults not the children, so I'm going there along with the rest of the staff from nursery. We're going to be making Christmas trees - it should be fun.
Best get on, I might go down to mam and dads for a cuppa once I'm sorted.
