Mitshubishi EcoDan Heating setting won't save after making changes.

Hi All,

We had a mitsubishi EcoDan Heat Pump for the last year, Installed November 2023, in our rented house.  Everything has been working fine untill we had a power cut last month. The heat pump wouldn’t turn on and we didn’t know what to do. Our landlord was informed, they came out to the heat pump and did a system reset. This fully reset the system to factory default prior to the power cut.

The heat pump now works, but whenever we make certain changes, the settings dont save for long before they return to default. We have set the DFW and this remains at the adjusted setting so isn’t an issue. The problem is on the main screen of the control panel, its set onto flow mode i believe at 55’C(See picture), whenever we change the heating mode to heat room at 20’C and adjust to 18’C, The system always returns to flow mode after a period of time. is there a way of stopping this? We’ have never had this problem before and i suspect its because the system has not been set up the same way when it was initially installed in 2023.

We’ve explained this to our landlord but they won’t help as they say the system is working, plus the company that installed it now aren’t operating. We don’t want to keep changing the temperature every time this resets, can anyone advise. Ohh and of course, the manuals aren’t much help.

I don't know for sure, but I suspect it's reverting because it's set to go with the compensation curve?

What happens when you press the first button on the left, under 'heating'?  (We have the same controller but it's been a while since I've changed our settings and I can't currently get in the cupboard to have a look.)  I think one of the options should just be a thermometer, or something that indicates just temperature alone.

*Note: setting it to ignore the compensation curve may change the overall efficiency and could potentially cost more to run, from what I've read.

Or you might be able to change the compensation curve to make it stay at a temperature you're more comfortable with, but I'm afraid don't know anything about that.  [Our initial setup was simply to run 24hrs at 18℃ and that was that, and as you know there's no useful information provided for those that actually have to live with it.]
