Yes, you can see your mortgage balance via the app when you have a savings account. But they only update it once per month and not on the day they take the payment, i.e. today for me! 🙄😂 Ah well, it’s still the best deal we could find at the time… 😉🤷♀️😊
Is there anyone you could ask to go through the video editing software with you? Might get you off the starting block with it?I think asking for a half dose of that one specific med sounds like a very good idea - then you can habitise taking it regularly and gain a steadier equilibrium 😊
With you on the gaining weight in part due to lack of exercise … It should be warmer tomorrow so I am hoping to start lunchtime walks again … 🤞

Thanks Jwil, Lucielle and KK.
KK - you are doing lots of steps regardless of the weather! I am not...
Just caught up on diaries again. I need to follow up re the meds...
Business progress so far includes:
I came up with at least 12 topics to start me off plus an ai list of 52+ suggestions. For the 12 or so initial topics - I've created an initial image for each that someone would click on. I've also created a standard intro and an outro and an initial logo. Work has approved my second 'job' so that's not a barrier which is positive.
On the video editing - I need to go through the process of editing one or more videos - because I learn by doing - and it will help me structure future videos better. One piece of advice I heard was to record continuously rather than stopping when you knew you'd done something you wanted to edit out. Of course that advice also suggested clapping loudly afterwards so it was easier to spot - but I didn't do that bit so.... Once I'm more advanced I could outsource more of this... Right now I'd get paralysed by choice if I used someone else - so it would be quicker to learn how to do it myself.
On the software - I'm facing a brick wall in terms of motivation but once I push through it will probably be much easier than I have built it up to be. There are utubes on it that make it look okay.
I'm also struggling parting with £. My risk averse nature has dictated that I become a limited company and get insurance.
Business to do list:- Complete insurance proposal form for broker
- Use a co formation agent - with a private address and mail forwarding service
- Set up a business bank account (possible cashback if I do via number 2)
- Edit videos so far
- Add in explainer summaries, start and end slides / animations etc (prepared some of this)
- Choose some radio mics

Is it the long acting adhd meds you’re cutting in half ? As you’re not supposed to break them at all. Can you get the GP to prescribe them in a different configuration ? In the last batch of shortages my son’s prescription was changed from 54 to 2 x 27 so you count ration them when you need to ?Sealed pot challenge 822

Good luck with the new business. Sounds like you have made loads of progress especially alongside a full-time job. Its difficult to do it all, and I'm sure the steps will come once you have everything set up. I use my daily walks to listen to podcasts, catch up on news and plan my day. Maybe once you've got everything set up you could think about doing something similar to plan your sessions."Think of many things, do one"

Loads of progress on your new business. Could you do a 3 month start up period to test out the concept before you have too much outlay?

Thanks Dawn, Skint, Blackcats and Sandy
Dawn - On the adhd meds I am allowed to amend them - I've checked with the original prescriber previously. I do need to ask them to amend the dose. The half dose doesn't feel enough but the full dose too much - so yes maybe I should ask for an in-between dose. My weight is going up - possibly due to not taking the full dose - but also I stopped taking another med. Naturally not discussed either with the GP!!! Oops. I'm just finding the side effects too much, and the GP would rely on the specialist for advice anyway so I should just go direct - fortunately I still can. Now I need to make myself actually do it...
The cleaning agency have given up trying to find someone which will free up some £. I found the last two people they sent too stressful so I'm not overly upset. I made myself clean my hob today - so that was some progress. The dishwasher I find easy. I cleaned a section of my kitchen counter... I need to create a list of tasks - and then split them across the week to break them up and see if I can incorporate them into my routine. I'm trying to tell myself it is a form of exercise. In all honesty I just want my cleaner from my last place back but given that's not an option I'll have to crack on.
I have asked the electrician how much the other things I asked for would be as he missed loads out of the quote. I need more cost certainty before starting. I've asked the joiner a follow up question - again confirming what's included. I've asked a garage door company to quote. It looks like between those three things my costs could be around £4.3K... I'm hoping that would then be the main/highest cost house things done.
Skint - the woodpecker and Gruffalo were lovely. Nice you have similar near you.

Sandy - yes - I need to build walks into my life more. It has just been so cold recently I've struggled to make myself go out. I bought more compost yesterday - so hopefully I'll be able to get the last of my bulbs planted this week. Better late than never. I'm seeing that as exercise.
Blackcats - I'll hold off on the insurance for now - their questions are too difficult to answer pre-starting trading anyway. It looks like I can get some trade discounts on things if I buy via a business though - so I'm planning to do that. Which means I need a separate business bank account - and I'm likely to go down the limited company route to minimise any risk if I were ever to be sued. I'm hoping that by using my art etc as part of my business I can recharge some of my costs etc. If nothing else it would reduce future tax liabilities - as even if I make a loss - I can carry that forward against a future profitable year.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
