Amazon are pretty bad on deliveries.I ordered something on Friday, free delivery on Sunday. (managed to reject the "free" Prime, "free" Amazon music etc.)Email arrives late Friday "Your order has shipped and will be delivered on Sunday, we will email a one time passcode on the day of delivery"Saturday after breakfast and checking the emails etc. I go out to do the shopping & weekly chores. After putting the shopping away and walking The Dog I sit down at the PC with a cup of coffee and check the emails again.Half an hour after I went out- "We blatantly lied to you last night, and will deliver today, here is your OTP"2 hours later "We were unable to deliver your parcel" (could it be because you gave less than 2 hours notice, the day before you told me less than 12 hours ago?)"We will make a final attempt at delivery on the next delivery day (but we won't reveal what day that is)"So Sunday we can't go out, and it eventually arrives at 4 PM.At least I got it, and it was in the box, rather than a brick or some cat food...I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Only problem I've ever had with Amazon is them chucking parcels in the green bin before they bother to ring the doorbell and find we're in. Given they get about a shilling per delivery, I can understand their need for speed though. Had far worse delivery experiences than Amazon. Same with the tracking, works fine on my phone. Are you a Prime member? Maybe non-prime members get a worse service?0

I find that most Amazon stuff turns up before I was expecting it. The only exception being when I was waiting in for a new PC monitor that I desparately needed.
I got the notification that the delivery was 3 stops away, so kept half an eye on them as they came towards my house in a reasonably logical pattern intil I was informed "you are next" by the app. I then saw the van pull right outside my house. The driver opened the rear doors shuffled parcels about in the back for 3-4 minutes, then jumped back into the drivers seat and just drove off.
Credit where credit is due though, I bought a soundbar with subwoofer from Amazon.de (Germany) last Thursday because it was half the price of buying from Amazon.co.uk, even after VAT and shipping were added, and it arrived, via france, on Monday!
Can't really argue with that.• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

I ordered something for a relative and was concerned when the delivery company turned out to be Evri !It arrived this morning - yet the tracking still shows it as not yet being collected from the sellerEvri - you've got to love them
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.1
