Thank youNewstartforme said:Well done Jwil , you are very organised, best way really . Hope little Jwil is on the mend somewhat x
Little jwil seems mostly fine now thankfully!
I feel much better being organised! Good luck with your gift hunt. I like having the time to think of things for the more difficult people.Spendywendywoo said:@jwil, that's fantastic progress with Christmas, I was just thinking about it the other day and started to compile a list but you've motivated me to start looking for gifts too
Thank youdoingitanyway said:I predict a drop in your BS number
You have made a head-start on Christmas. Well done
I really hope I see a drop, I've no idea how easy or difficult it is to improve the numbers!

Wow £170 PADs for September already 🥳
Nice that you saw the eclipse, it's always fascinating when the moon looks different.
I'm hoping for an epic month this month!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -

Happy Thursday! I'm glad it's the end of my week. I've been feeling very 'meh' this week, with no enthusiasm. I'm not sure why. I did have a bit of a chocolate binge yesterday. It gave me a bit of an upset stomach, I clearly don't have the same tolerance any more

I had my blood test today, and they managed to get blood on the first try for the first time in many many years! Whether that is a bit of luck, a talented person, or a little weight loss bonus I'm not sure, but it was very nice to be in and out in super quick time.
I had my month's tax refund so hence yesterday's nice PAD."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee9 -
Mr SA is a devil to get blood out of and he’s been told to drink plenty of water before blood tests. His veins seem to be embedded deep inside him 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I call two of my roommates "Turnips", since the old saying is "you can't get blood out of a turnip". They have to drink bottles of water before they go in for a blood test. It is better than it has been - a year ago it took a week of visits daily before they could get blood from one of my roommates - and then they finally got it out of his ankle of all things.2

They always struggle to get blood out of me but since I have been told to drink plenty of water beforehand it is much better.Credit card 1768

It's so frustrating. I've had it taken from various places, and even been sent to the hospital before when they gave up. This was a real treat!weenancyinAmerica said:I call two of my roommates "Turnips", since the old saying is "you can't get blood out of a turnip". I always drink loads, and it doesn't seem to make any difference. I always try to make sure I'm warm as well. Something worked yesterday!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -

Over £200 in PADs this month! I had a £5 voucher yesterday so have padded the equivalent.
I tidied round the house yesterday and even got on my hands and knees to clean the kitchen floor, so today I am not planning on doing any housework apart from drying the washing! Dog has been walked.

DH has been told that he's not needed next week by the company he's been working at. He's still agency so they can do it. He's now stressed. It's lasted longer than the 12 weeks he was first told so that's something. The agency offered him something else but it wasn't really suitable. I've suggested he just take next week off and see if the current employer picks up again, and if not, he can always try elsewhere.
It feels like every time we think we are getting on top of things something else happens!
My blood tests are in the NHS app, and I'm quite disappointed that they are the same as before (which was almost exactly a year ago!). I was really hoping for a slight improvement. I did think however, that in the last year we've had all the redundancy stuff with both me and DH, and over the autumn/winter last year I was very sedentary and eating very badly, so I guess it's possible that they could have gone up and then gone back down. I won't know. I haven't lost a lot of weight in the grand scheme of things, so hopefully next time will be better!
I had a lovely relaxing morning just chilling and doing my own thing. Now I've got a little dread of anxiety again, especially with having just taken on an extra £10k of debt! It will be ok though, at least DH now has his redundancy pay to fall back on if he has to."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
