Good early morning all, it looks like we have a dusting of snow here, winter drawers on!
I'm up early, can't sleep, not because I'm mithering but because I'm hopeful. DGD rang me last night (I haven't spoken to her while all this has been going on). She went to the school with DD, but didn't attend the meeting. Instead she went for a walk with a teacher (and a chat). It seems the school is doing all they can to help. She has been moved to a bedroom of her own instead of sharing (Nan I need my own space to move around without anyone in the way) and will be doing 3 days a week until next term to ease her back in. The girl who was the ringleader has been told she can't go to DGDs wing and their lessons have been rearranged. Whether this will work remains to be seen but the main thing is that dgd is looking forward to returning to school. I don't know about the teacher who told her not to make a fuss until I speak to DD. I think we were all just happy to have our dgd back. She is such a happy girl usually it was so sad to what this was doing to her. Oh, and she has been assigned a SENCo to look after her.
Thanks so much for all your support and listening to me, it means so much.
No plans for today, let's see what big dog makes of the snow. Chicken for dinner in some way or other.
Have a good day whatever you're doing, take care x

Morning folks and thanks REMMIE for your early kick off. Good news about your DGD, the school sound to be doing all they can now after all the upset.
We got the promised snow through the night but thankfully not quite as heavy as forecast up here. The gritter has been out doing the rounds and the road down into town isn't looking too bad. My phone says it's minus 3 out there - brr! I'm glad I have nowhere to go.
I survived my dental treatment yesterday but it was a painful hour and a half. And the remains of the tooth I broke has been pulled too. Despite 3 painful injections I was still aware of all the tugging and pulling as it didn't want to let go!. It still felt very sore last night but it's much easier this morning. Round 2 is next Monday and I am dreading it already!
It's soft food only today but she says I can eat normally tomorrow. So I need to venture into the cold garage to get some of the soft meals I made from the freezer.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or worried. Keep safe and warm xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"15 -
Morning All
Brrr it's cold again. It was -4 yesterday when I set off for work yesterday, probably similar this morning.
Pleased to hear things are being sorted for your DGD Remmie, it's such a worry.
Ooh, snow TA, hope it doesn't last. Well done on braving the dentist, hope it's not too sore for you.
Coxy, hope your house move went smoothly.
Manic day at work yesterday but we have new self closing doors in the office area so we could keep our little room quite cosy. Amazing that some parents don't send their children with coats in this cold weather.
DD found something her and DSiL would like for Christmas so that's all sorted, just another 3 million to go!
Have a good day and take care. XX14 -

Morning everyone I didn’t manage to get on yesterday I had a bit of running around to do met my friend and went and got my haircut then back to the doctors for more antibiotics for my eye it looks ready to burst I know that sounds gross but I will be pleased when it does is big and itchy and it’s all I can see I can’t look past it if it’s still the same at the end of the week I have to go back but I don’t think it will be hopefully. Remmie it made me so angry when I read your post yesterday I hope the ringleader is dealt with and knows how her actions could have caused upset and worse injury to that little girl and I hope that teacher is dealt with that’s shocking.ive got a cleaning job to go to today and we have got snow I don’t know when it landed but it was here when I looked out of the bedroom window at 3 of course I’ve laid awake since but at least it’s nice and warm under the duvet . Silver oldie how are you doing I’ve never seen anything of you for a few days I know you think you haven’t much to say but I only talk rubbish and it’s nice to see you checking in . Taff I hope you are starting to feel better I’ve given up telling you to put your feet up I know you take no notice. I will have to get a wiggle on I hate winter roll on summer. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing14

Morning all
A couple of inches of very wet snow here that has come on top of 12+ hours of rain so I don’t expect it’ll hang around for long. Was planning a trip to plant some bulbs on the grave on the parents of my BF (she lives 500 miles away) but that can wait. Bdog will enjoy a romp in the snow/slush and I have plenty of crafts to do.Remmie - I was pleased to read of the turn around for your DGD and hope that things improve for her.TA - take care
stay safe everyone

Good morning, there's a light layer of snow here and it's bitterly cold.
Thanks for starting Remmie, hope the new measures in place for your dg d work, and there's no more trouble. The people concerned should be ashamed of themselves.
TA, hope you can manage to eat something, your dental treatment sounds awful.
Apart from visiting an elderly house bound friend I wasn't out yesterday, but really should go out today. I'll see how the weather goes.
Hope everyone is ok, thinking of the poorly or sad people.
Be careful if you go out, take care.15 -
Morning all,Woke up early as my joints ached, then heard all the rain so know why. Currently sat with the heat pad, SAD light on and a hot chocolate so all is good.
Plans for today are that the hairdresser is visiting, definitely needed as it’s been 4 months since my last hair cut and it is getting too long and thick.
After this, nothing else is planned. As it is going to be wet all day, I expect DH and myself will deep clean the sitting room by moving all the furniture.
Remmie, glad to hear the school meeting was positive and that your DGD sounds much happier.
TA, ouch, on your poor mouth, take care.
Camelot, well done on making a start with your Christmas shopping. Apart from a gift for my great niece, I have not even thought what to buy anyone else. We do have a Christmas fair taking place next weekend so hopefully, I will see things there to buy.
Take care all.

Morning everyone,
no snow here in West Suffolk ,just rain all night and v cold .
Yesterday my WI group had the local auctioneers to talk to us ,we were all encouraged to take something in to be valued .
I took in a black China headed doll that was my mothers and ended up leaving it with them to sell ,predicted £60-£100 !
It’s been wrapped up in a cupboard for the 15 yrs I’ve lived here, and would end up in my sons promised skip when he eventually has to clear this place !Think I will look for more stuff to go ,it will go a v small way towards the huge hole in the finances after the central heating revamp !
at-least pay for a couple of Christmas meals !This morning is my book group ,I couldn’t get into this months book at all ,so not going to be good.
Then must do some housework and put fruit to soak for next Christmas cake .
have a good day all and keep warm13 -
Hi everyone,
It's been sleeting a bit here but we're not really expecting anything exciting, it's been enough to put Steve off the golf though so that's good. It was just this time last year that he got the cough which eventually led to him being hospitalized before Christmas. This year he's on a preventative dose of antibiotics so hopefully he'll be ok.
Warning - boring bit about our new heat pump if you're not interested!
Now we've had a bit of a cold spell I can report back on the air source heat pump, I think you wanted to know how it was Taff. It isn't like a boiler firing a couple of times a day it sort of works a lot of time so that the temperature doesn't go very low and the radiators never get really hot, sometimes they hardly even seem lukewarm. They were hotter yesterday though and the house was toasty all day despite it being very cold outside. Steve keeps trying to explain it all to me but he has an app to control it and he's happily tweaking at it to get the optimum level of heat versus cost. We no longer use any gas and so far the cost has been 55% less than we were paying, and of course it's greener.
It's Esther's second birthday tomorrow so I'll make her cake with her today. Her other grandad is coming at the weekend so we'll do another then for the family meal we're having. We also need to get her present from the loft (a play shop).
Remmie, good to hear that the school is taking it seriously, I hope dgd continues to be happy.
TA, commiserations, hopefully you'll feel better soon.
Have a good day.

Morning all - thanks for the start @Remmi.What a lovely slew of good news to start Tuesday off, @Remmi's DGD being given the correct attention, @TA surviving the nasty dental appointment and @Camelot having a cosy office at last.I didn't go out yesterday, too cold out there! The postie brought my Cornish ware order, it was all so beautifully packed, so I hand-washed them and got them away. Then I wrapped the now unwanted mugs ready for the CS. My afternoon was spent watching Moonflower Murders on iPlayer, it needs attention to watch, I thoroughly enjoyed it,Today I'll make a batch of leek and lentil soup to have the rest of the week. I've broken out the heavy winter weight wool tights, the medium autumn / spring ones will be washed and put away until next year. The rolling round of the seasons goes on.Hugs to all - keep warm and safe in this wintry burst.14
