Remember that checklist you were once following?
    It says...

Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list might be worth another read too.

All expected.  We are a bit shocked you weren't ready for that stuff, given you knew it was coming if you had read the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread.

Those steps are listed so that you don't need to ask us (please don't) about the DQ questions or the laughable Mediation phone call.

We hope that we are only needed again by Defendants at WS & evidence stage next year. The 'first 12 steps' advice saves us all time.

  • Thank you. Have read through again. I will ignore and await my DQ in the post then a mediation call. Have read the mediation threads, a big fat zero is coming their way!

Apologies for wasting your time, I should have read that thread again. As a first timer at this it is a bit overwhelming and I’m just a tad anxious about missing any crucial steps that will go against me. Rest assured I have been through the DQ and mediation threads and am very ready for that!

That's the spirit!  Now you are prepared.

Seriously, the SCMS really needs this feedback and to pass it to their Managers.  Not only is this a waste of time in parking cases, but they are actively supporting a scam if they suggest victims should offer money.

I will certainly mention the bloodthirsty thieves part, and I’ll add that they couldn’t care less about considerate parking! I will be sure to mention the mediation is pointless. They’re literally only facilitating a scam and it’s a waste of taxpayers money
  • Its been a while but didn't want to bore you with p[ointless posts

Mediation was a bit of a joke and I told them I wouldn't be paying a penny, it was over in about 2 minutes. A while after that it has been transferred to my nearest court and I now have a court date. I didn't think it would get this far. Not sure what to expect to be honest

What's the worst that could happen

If you lose you'd pay about £212 ... but you should already know that from post 2 of the NEWBIES thread. Re-read it now.

And you should also know how to do the WS and evidence (that both parties must now submit). This is on your Hearing Order and must be done & shared well before the deadline on page 2 of that Order.

This is all also covered in post 2 of the NEWBIES thread under the red capitals shouty heading 'IMPORTANT: KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN'!

You need to copy and adapt a recent witness statement that cites Chan and Akande so search the forum for a couple, read their FINAL versions (never stop reading at the first draft someone posted) and make a start.

What's your deadline for the WS and evidence?
