Just use the CEL defence version linked (it is a special version) in the Template Defence thread. Please please don't show it here though. We don't need to check it.

What an odd claim, they go straight in with an amount of £170 without any explanation when the parking ticket was £100 ?

The added £70 is a SCM and if this does end up in court a BIG question for the judge because such a claim is MISLEADING AND A LIE ?

@RogersRed you really need to read the yellow IMPORTANT info box near the top of page. Further redactions are needed to your posted image of your Claim form like this one:

    Remove that unredacted picture ASAP

CEL in house claim form,  issue date 09/01/2026

POC doesn't seem to specify the exact breach

Complete the AOS online on MCOL tomorrow or Friday,  after studying post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum

18 months is nothing,  they had 6 years to pull the trigger

Apologies I have adjusted the image now and reposted. So first step is to AOS based on post 2 on the newbies forum? Or do I follow the first reply which says about the CEL defence link? (Sorry I’m not sure what this is having scoured the newbies thread again. Apologies if I’m missing something!

Draft your defence over the next few weeks,  you could start now, but no rushing

Do the AOS stage online on MCOL tomorrow or Friday

I genuinely can’t remember if me or my wife were driving at the time of the alleged offence. The car is registered in my wife’s name. Is it still ok for me to respond to the letter or does it have to be my wife?

Obviously the named defendant must defend. The D cannot be changed to someone else.

When I directed you to the Template Defence thread (and told you exactly which defence para 3 to use)  I wasn't saying not to do the AOS first. The 8 steps are very clear and I wrote the thread. It's as simple as 1,2,3...to 8!

You are not 'drafting' anything of course. You'll know that already if you read the Template Defence thread. Could not be easier and we don't need to check anything.

With an issue date of 09/01/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 14/01/26 and before or on 28/01/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 11/02/26

Thank you so much for the pdf, really useful. Unfortunately when I input the claim number and defence pack password I get an error message even though I have checked and double checked the details ‘1. Claim number or password is incorrect’ do I contact money claim direct to query this?
