Can I just ask where you got the Dec 2nd date from? Is there anywhere on the MCOL site that states that to me? Cheers!KeithP said:nollievarialheel said:Issue date is 29.10.24 and I filed the acknowledgment of service on 08.11.24With a Claim Issue Date of 29th October, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 2nd December 2024 to file a Defence.
That's over two weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.0 -
Can I just ask where you got the Dec 2nd deadline date from? Is that a standard? It is on the back (or page 2) of the N1 claim form, 5 days for service plus 28 days if you complete the AoS in time.nollievarialheel said:Can I just ask where you got the Dec 2nd deadline date from? Is that a standard? Is there anywhere on the MCOL site that confirms that date for me?1 -
As above, its 5 days from issue date to service date, plus 14 days, making 19 days, plus an extra 14 days if you complete the AOS in a timely manner, making the deadline 4pm , at least 33 days later, unless its a weekend or bank holiday ( those factors extend the deadline until a working business day arrives, typically a Monday ( but not always. )
The 2nd of December is a Monday, hence that deadline with a 4pm cut-off1 -
Perfect. Thanks for your help!1
