Ours (admittedly more modern looking) doesn't have switches but a remote control. Possible?2

When I was buying one last year there was a model that had no switches on it at all, just a remote.i remember thinking how stupid that was because people always lose remotes. Yours might be one like this?Le_Kirk said:Ours (admittedly more modern looking) doesn't have switches but a remote control. Possible?1 -

I haven't been over to check yet, but will be today.
We recall having it running when she first moved in, but pretty certain it was via switches, so reckon its under the canopy overhang as said above.
It's oldish - approaching 20 years, I guess - so suspect an earlier model without remote.
Thank you all.
(Mil's CH went pop. No problem - we'll turn on her fire... What the?! Anyhoo, she's fine - doing well for 85, and wrapped up well. I almost felt guilty going back to ours, tho', with CH throbbing and a log fire blazing. Oh, and with a 1L bottle of Jack Daniels for diagnosing the CH fault... I hope I'm treated with as much care when I'm 85.)2 -
As newly-retired (join the club) and TELLIT said, it was under that sloping canopy.

Thank you.
