Vanquis Savings Account

I recently opened a Vanquis Savings account as suggested by Martin Lewis.
To put money into the account you have to do a bank transfer from your own personal bank into the Vanquis savings account.
I sent £1,000 around 3 hours ago just to test it out, it has left my Nat west account but nothing has arrived into my Vanquis Savings account, does anyone have any idea why? Does it normally take a couple of days?

Probably because it's Saturday but it can take a little while to show up. Don't worry.elltomney said:I recently opened a Vanquis Savings account as suggested by Martin Lewis.

Not sure if it's the same as before but NatWest didn't used to process and transactions on the weekends so if that's the same you'll see things on Monday.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Most test payments are £1 even if there's a minimum payment required as it will be returned and this would confirm details are correctelltomney said:I recently opened a Vanquis Savings account as suggested by Martin Lewis.

You can make payments in/out of NatWest at weekends and they arrive the same day, I do so regularly if the first day of the month falls on a weekend.Brie said:Not sure if it's the same as before but NatWest didn't used to process and transactions on the weekends so if that's the same you'll see things on Monday.
They still calculate interest on funds deposited into their savings accounts on weekends as having been received the next working day though.1 -

I've also recently opened a Vanquis Savings account and have been unable to make deposits despite multiple attempts and following the intructions to the letter. Never had a problem like this with any other of the multiple savings/ISA/current accounts I use. looks like I'll be taking my savings elsewhere.0

What exactly happens when you try to deposit, i.e. where are you trying to pay in from, are you seeing error messages, etc? Confirmation of Payee validation perhaps?JohhnyRemo said:I've also recently opened a Vanquis Savings account and have been unable to make deposits despite multiple attempts and following the intructions to the letter. Paying in from TSB account - no error messages - payment goes - two/three days later it's back in TSB account. Nothing from Vanquis to say why it's been declines.0

Have you asked them or are you just taking your money elsewhere anyway?JohhnyRemo said:Paying in from TSB account - no error messages - payment goes - two/three days later it's back in TSB account. Nothing from Vanquis to say why it's been declines.0
