As I understand it you haven't paid evri. The sender paid evri and charged you an equivalent amount. I've never used vinted but would assume the seller bears responsibility for reimbursing you the excess postage cost. The seller could then try to claim from evri or at least get a refund on the price they paid. I can only conclude that the parcel was dropped off at a post office and somehow got put in the wrong bag. If I were the seller i would be taking the evri drop off receipt and the royal mail surcharge into the post office and requesting reimbursement for their error. Unless the sender has somehow stuck an evri parcel.in a postbox and it is their error.

On Vinted it's Vinted themselves that provide and pay for the label- not the seller.

OK, I remember previous posts likening ebay simple delivery to vinted. So the contract is between vinted and evri? However it seems that evri never received the parcel from the drop off point. I can’t see how evri is actually to blame...unless their driver picked up the parcel and stuck.it in the post...

After sending a parcel & paying extra for next day delivery, it arrived 4 days later! Three emails later & no response from the last one, dated 22.06.25 nor any resolution, I have just now emailed the CEO of Evri directly: Martijn.DeLange@evri.com

I will now await a response.....
I hope you all find the above email address helpful!  🙂

We’ve got Evri drop off points inside Post Offices here.  I have wondered what would happen if the staff put a package in the RM bag by mistake. Perhaps I’ve found out!

Earlier this year I dropped a RM parcel off at a Quadient "Multi Courier" Locker, I printed a RM label off and scanned it but after putting my parcel in the locker and closing the door the touch screen failed so when RM went to collect their parcels from the locker mine was not collected as there was no record of the parcel being dropped off. The locker was opened by an Evri driver who after seeing the parcel had a RM address label simply left it in another locker and I managed to retrieve it days later by waiting at the lockers and asking him if he'd seen it, I then hand delivered it to the RM Delivery Office myself!

You used Evri and actually expected the item to arrive in one piece?
I buy virtually all my non food items online.  I’ve had many delivered by Evri and never had a single problem.  Nothing has been ruined/destroyed, no parcel has been empty, nothing has been ”gone missing” and they have all been delivered on time apart from 2.  These were delivered one day early.  😀

    Am I just lucky?

It doesn't say you can't send them though does it, just that they are excludes from compensation:

    Excluded from compensation

I often use services for items where I know I won't be covered (I wouldn't risk prohibited though).
