I used the MSE tool to enquire to BMW if DCA was on a HP agreement  I had with them from around 2010. I still have the finance paperwork so the Reg No, Name, address, dates and finance agreement number were supplied.
The vehicle was an approved used 3 series from a main dealer.
I had a reply today requesting more information. 
The only other thing I can give them is the payment due date.
Has anyone else had a similar reply?

Its likely that the data they have is not on current systems and been archived in accordance with the data protection act.       

most BMW responses are told that DCA did not exist as BMW finance didn't use it on new car sales.    Your response is not uncommon for older ones no longer on systems.

When was the loan paid off? Given GDPR requires them by law to minimise the data they hold it would be likely they deleted data 6-7 years after the load was paid off.

Thanks for the replies. I am aware that it was an old agreement ending around in 2013-14 and as such they may not still have records.

Update: BMW have responded. There was a DCA in place at the time, the complaint has been logged.
Just have to wait for the decision now.
