Natwest 1 payee is a pain, also, if you set up a regular payment and then alter the payee ref as a 1 off, the regular payment details remain as was, not as is.

I generally use the website for making payments from Natwest, but one thing that I have spotted is that the payees that I have setup on the website, don't appear on the app... I don't know if it works the other way around whether app payees are automatically added to the site version?
if that's the case, I suppose she could have one payee setup via the site and the other via the app - though I imagine your partner might prefer app only solutions.

That's another poor design feature if the NatWest app and website aren't in sync for storing payees. You are right, she is primarily app based (the complete opposite to me). NatWest suggested changing the reference each time to which she pointed out the obvious risks of that approach. The solution in her case is to set up the payee to the EA account and funds for the ISA will be channelled through that, little bit of extra effort to subsequently do an internal transfer at the other end but safest approach.

Thanks to all who made observations / suggestions.

I had cause to use the website for the first time in several months yesterday, I can confirm that payees added via the app do appear in the online (web) version. Seems odd that payees added online wouldn't be available in the app but I didn't try it so, hey ho.
