'Fresh as if dried outside...' We'll see.
I wish our washing machine washed it all out, because when she dries her clothes inside, it stinks the house out !
More seriously, we have a Siemens IQ300, which I think is very similar to yours, except the max load is 1 kg less.
However we normally use the 'Mixed fabrics' setting which only runs for an hour.1 -

If you're using a quick wash that's probably why - read the manual and it'll suggest quick wash (15, 30 or one hour) are for very small loads of "lightly soiled" clothing. If you're filling the machine beyond half capacity, you should be using a full cycle.
I agree with Emmia - conditioner seems to be snake oil - we stopped using it, our clothes are just as soft and fresh without it. If anything, its just a masking sickly smell that wears off quickly.
I don't use conditioner and don't have any issue with static on synthetics.1 -

Cool, I'm going to use 'mixed' from now on. Which makes sense, 'cos the loads are mixed...0 -
Emmia said:And as for those "freshness booster" things which seem to be in the ads all the time to add to your conditioner... Snake oil too.
I don't use conditioner and don't have any issue with static on synthetics.Ha-ha - yes, these 'booster' ads are the worst evs!Ok, wash has ended, and I stuck my nose into the resulting wash - yes, it has a nice smell, but hardly overpowering. But, for some reason, better than usual. This is all too much.

It couldn't be your nose is at fault TiW?Once heating is on the mucus membranes dry out.Personally I'd be glad they didn't smell too much because some families are so steeped in conditioner you can't get near them. They really do pong.Got to say that apart from when they come out of the wash I can't smell the conditioner. But I use a light one in small quantities and dry outside so not much left - which is the idea.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Our machine has two reservoirs you can either fill with their own products or liquids off the shelf. Using their own both are filled with detergent (ones a booster allegedly) and it varies the proportion depending on the settings. You can however fill one with a conditioner if you prefer or put it in the draw as normal.
Initially ran it without conditioner and was more than happy with how the clothes came out so have never gone back to using conditioner. If you do want to add "scent" to your clothes you may find it more effective via the tumble drier anyway1 -
ThisIsWeird said:I ask 'cos our Bosch Serie 6 - which has auto-dispense - never leaves the wash smelling all that great. It's clean, but doesn't smell of 'conditioner'.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.2 -
Lol! Thanks.
I want to smell :-(
Sounds as tho' it's quite normal, then.0 -

We've always used Bold washing powder which claims to have built in conditioner. The clothes come out smelling nice but not overpowering, I can always tell the difference when I wash clothes in something else whilst on holiday.1
