VCS DCB Legal court claim
Comments

Doesn't really matter what you put. Keep it short and succinct. No need to waffle on about what happened. As long as a DCB Legal issued claim is defended, no matter what you put in it, it will eventually be discontinued.1

Please edit the thread title to something more suitable like
 VCS DCB Legal court claim
 Thanks
The POC should really state £100 plus some interest, dont worry about the spurious sums, especially as they will probably discontinue1

What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?bbestmann said:Hello all, I finally received the claim form.
Can you please show us a picture of the Particulars of Claim - with all your personal detail hidden of course.
Have you filed an Acknowledgment of Service?
If so, upon what date did you do so? Your MCOL Claim History will have the definitive answer to that.3

Thank you all for your response, I will effect the changes and Yes KeithP, I filled out the acknowledgment on MCOL on 11th see second image 0 0

No exhibits go with a defence. In most current defences v DCB Legal claims, paragraph 3 (within the 30 paragraph Template Defence) looks similar to the thread below by @shahib_02 ... just change the incident date:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6576011/cel-dcb-legal-pcn-cnbc-claim-defence-assistance-required-pleaseNo need for more detail. That's your para 3 done with just one date to change.
You could add a brief 3.1. saying that the Defendant paid for parking and evidence will be provided at witness statement stage.
 4. rest of the Template Defence of 30 paragraphs follows, but DON'T copy & paste it (in its entirety) here...please!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

With a Claim Issue Date of 7th January, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service('AOS') in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 10th February 2025 to file a Defence.
That's over three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence and it is good to see that you are not leaving it to the last minute. To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look at the second post in the NEWBIES thread.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.
Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an AOS has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.3

Thank you all for your inputs. I have now updated para.3 (thank you also to @shahib_02) with the additional (i) information specific to my case:Preliminary matter: The claim should be struck out 3. Referring to the POC: paragraph 1 is denied. The Defendant is not indebted to the Claimant. Paragraph 2 is denied. No PCN was "issued on 13/07/2024" (the date of the alleged visit). Whilst the Defendant is the registered keeper, paragraphs 3 and 4 are denied. The Defendant is not liable and has seen no evidence of a breach of prominent terms. The quantum is hugely exaggerated (no PCN can be £170 on private land) and there were no damages incurred whatsoever. The Claimant is put to strict proof of all their allegations. (i). The Defendant paid for parking and evidence will be provided at witness statement stage. I will now email to ClaimResponses.CNBC@justice.gov.uk Thank you for walking me up to this point, I would have given up otherwise. I will be back when we get to the next step 0 0

            Good evening all,
I got an email message last week Wednesday and missed it. Paragraph 3 talks about a possible settlement/mediation
Any ideas how I should respond please? This is the email:Good morning

But that's what everyone gets! We can't comment on every standard (expected) stage.
It's in the first 12 steps you were following.
See you early Summer, at WS stage!
When you get anything from DCB Legal during your case, please don't copy & paste it into a reply as if it's something new that you need help with. Instead, copy & past a phrase from it into the search box. Try that now.

As C_m says, you were expecting that weren't you?
Item 7 on that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence says...
Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list might be worth another read too.1
