Apologies for my tardy reply - I forgot to bookmark.🙄

I was really wondering whether it was even worth selling old stock (e.g. JL premium boudoir pillow cases) in their original packaging and never used.

A few years back, possibly 2019/2020 I acquired some vintage bedding, different branding, some Brentford Nylons (you’d have to be of a certain age to remember them), St Michael (m and s) and several, others, all new but in rather tired packaging. I did very very well selling them, I sold the first couple on BIN and they sold in minutes, the rest I put up as auctions and I think one rather dreadfully bright set with double frills and a fair bit of man made fibres sold for over £70.

I recall at least 2 sets went to TV companies, for props possibly, but others seemed to go to private individuals. It was a few years ago, so the market might have changed- but you might be surprised.
    Thanks - that's reasuring.
In some cases the packaging is in perfect condition and I have pairs of the same design.

Would you recommend selling as a pair or individually?
I didn’t have any duplicates, but would probably suggest selling individually .

  • When you list your curtains it may be worth weighing them individually. I recently sold a pair and it worked out cheaper for the buyer if i sent them in two separate parcels. I agreed this with the buyer and labelled them parcel 1 and parcel 2.
