Hi!
I have a number of unused home ware still in their packaging and wondered what advice Ebay veterans would advise when selling such items.
Thank you

I'm not sure what you're asking either. One thing I'd say is that if they are significantly old to add that rather than saying they're "brand new". Older packaged items can have problems, anything from smells to faded colouring.

Don't use the AI option to write the description.
It just gives a waffly, no information load of tosh.
Describe the item carefully - including the colour.

Maybe the OP was wondering whether to leave it in its packet or take it out to photograph? If it's one plain colour I would definitely leave it as it is to show it is unused. If patterned maybe it would be better to take it out to give a complete idea of its appearance.

The OP could take some pictures while it is in the packet, remove it from the packet and take more pictures and detail that in the listing.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
Assuming that these items are barcoded make sure you enter them into item specifics, eBay will give you the option to use stock images if they have them in their database, failing that do a barcode ean search for stock images, to avoid having to remove the packaging, but as has been previously said show pictures of the items in their original packaging.1

If they are old, I would say NOS (New Old Stock) in your title and description or use Vintage. I wouldn't take them out of the packaging though.Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £82,869.54 May 2037Swagbucks ~ £130 (2024 ~ £395)Surveys ~ £139.39 (2024 ~ £280.14)Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £964.62 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)1

Apologies for my tardy reply - I forgot to bookmark.🙄I was really wondering whether it was even worth selling old stock (e.g. JL premium boudoir pillow cases) in their original packaging and never used.

It was a few years ago, so the market might have changed- but you might be surprised.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
