Hi all!
New finance dude here, looking to confirm next steps when pursuing to register my complaint regarding my motor finance agreement.
Sent an email to Stellantis via the MSE tool but got an auto reply advising the following:

Sent an email to Stellantis via the MSE tool but got an auto reply advising the following:
"Hello
We’re unable to look at your request without further information from you
Please provide your information here"
I sent another email asking what further information was required but was met with the same response.
Seems very unethical to send this as a response to every email immediately as I feel no adequate attempt has been made to validate me as a customer.
How should I proceed?

Some might say it's unethical of MSE to continually encourage bombardment of finance companies when the outcome of the case won't be known for some considerable time.0

Yes but the form is requesting the finance agreement number as compulsory (which I can't find) and the only relevant option is "General Enquiry"Hoenir said:Did you click here ?0 -
You're entitled to your opinion. Ensuring that the general public aren't time barred / unaware they are entitled to compensation and are aware of their rights when falling victim to these unethical practices, isn't in my opinion, unethical.TheSpectator said:Some might say it's unethical of MSE to continually encourage bombardment of finance companies when the outcome of the case won't be known for some considerable time.0 -
Why do you think they would be timebarred when the ability to timebar has been suspended until some months after the FCA report is publishedFinance_Dude said:

There is no entitlement to compensation at present, the FCA is opining on if there should be. This could very easily in a few years time result in the FCA deciding there is no case to answer and banks will have spent millions dealing with spurious enquiries which will ultimately be passed back to consumers in higher fees.Finance_Dude said:

So costing everyone a lot extra just so you get some free publicity is fairly unethical.
Timelimit at the moment is Jan 2026, it's broadly anticipated to be pushed back again. Saying in jan 2024 to get your complaints in ASAP was jumping the gun and tabloid style reporting0
