Best way for Email Forwarding - Domain, Second Gmail account or something else? Please

I tend to use separate email addresses for different purposes. I have about 8 gmail addresses, 3 work-related email addresses, and a few temporary email addresses I use for public wifi etc. I also tend to register on websites that are not very keen on security with anykey addresses, that I create from train booking confirmation numbers, e.g. dbbh7sm8e@gmx.com. They all are independent. Oh, and I also go to China often where gmail cannot be accessed, and only during this times gmail are forwarded to mail.co.uk, that can be accessed from there.

Purchased my own domain also based on the family initials so we all have accounts. My hosting gives me 200 emails
addresses per domain.
Purchased after having a gmail one banned for breaking their rules but they would not tell me what rules I broke. Thought what if that
was a banking email. I would need to jump through hoops to reset it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1 -

As @flaneurs_lobster has said, you have to be logged out of any Google/Gmail account(s) that is/are open. You can also easily (and with fewer pesky questions IIRC) create Google accounts on an Android device (again FL is right in that a Google account and a Gmail account are basically the same).

TMSG said:I have a couple of gmail accounts which I give to friends, relatives and use as-is for the really important stuff, ie banks, HMRC etc. I also have a few aliases (ie forwarders) for these accounts with duckduckgo (see https://duckduckgo.com/email/ ). This is pretty nifty and works really well but has a bit of a learning curve if you want to use its full potential.
Other than that I frequently use yopmail.com for burner email addresses though I never use @yopmail.com as the domain (as it's blocked by some sites) but their domain of the day which changes every day. Never was rejected so far.
Hi, @TMSG. Am I correct in thinking that you can only forward to ONE gmail account from your personal and/or private duck addresses? (though you can edit/update the forwarding address when necessary)?I am on a pc, so presumably I would need to use the browser extension add-on for this?Thanks0 -
@ih8stress It's more the other way round. You have a gmail account (but DDG supports also most other, if not all, providers). You go the DDG site, give them the gmail address (say bloke768@gmail.com) and create your personal alias (say gr8bloke, so you'll end up with gr8bloke@duck.com). And once that's done, you can create further duck.com aliases which will all forward to that same gmail account... but the alias name is a random 8-char string chosen by DDG, say ty65pl9j@duck.com. Now both gr8bloke@duck.com and ty65pl9j@duck.com forward to bloke768@gmail.com. You can create as many such "random" aliases as you want/need.
But wait... there's more. You can repeat this spiel ad infinitum with other email accounts. Say you also have bloke768@hotmail.com. You go to DDG, give them this address and create othergr8bloke@duck.com which then forwards to the hotmail account. Etc etc.
Re browser extension. You can either use this to manage all your duck.com addresses or you can download their browser, if you have a supported system. I use their browser on one of my Android devices, so I am doing everything from there. Works very well.

Have decided not to go down the duck.com email protection route as I don't like the idea of the extension for it wanting certain permissions, especially the 'Access your data for all websites' which could include things you type on it.Instead I am just going to create some new email addresses. Another gmail one and perhaps a gmx.com or hotmail one.I will then use one of them as the main email to forward emails on to the others. Is there a combination that is best to do ie. forward from hotmail to gmail or gmx. Or would any combination have similar results? Can any of those three mentioned be set up to forward emails to two different providers?Do any or all of them provide end to end encryption and do I need that? - I know, I should Google, and I will do when I get a chance, ha haSorry for all the extra questions.Hope everyone is well

gmx tend to close email accounts if they are not accessed often enough. I have already lost two. mail.co.uk is another instance of gmx, they deleted my address after a month or so

Yep. I even sent a real email, not a test one... but I believe I didn't login since July 2023. When I tried to login a week ago, I got a message "the username doesn't exist". When I tried to register a new account with this username, I got a message "the username is in use" or something like that. I gave up at that point.
