UKPC parking letter... Do I pay?

I recently went shopping to a retail park. 2 weeks later i recieved a letter saying I have a parking fine from UKPC of £100 but if I pay within 14 days it would cost me £40. I have always paid parking tickets when it comes to local council. But not for these private firms who enforce this upon me. Should I appeal, should i pay?

I'll give you the £100 for every occurrence of the word "fine" in your letter. Only fools and their money pay a UKPC PCN.
If you want to know why and how not to pay, please read the Newbies/FAQ thread.2 -
Complain about the PCN to the retail park management company or even the landowner and get it cancelled ASAP due to being a valid customer. ( With proof of patronage. ) Nobody here would tell you to pay. !

And it's not £40 if you pay early.

I'm sorry, I'm new to this and I'm panicking. They have sent another letter out saying I have to now pay £100 this is another company called nexus. Just tell me do I just ignore these letters. There threatening me. I cant find the thread you have mentioned. Please someone just tell me, can I just ignore these and there threats0

Group Nexus are a different parking company to the UKPC company in this thread
Without knowing what the letters say its very difficult to give you advice, and usually we ask people to start a new thread with a different case, especially when its a different parking company
You can ignore debt collectors letters, but you should not be ignoring letters from parking companies
Yes they will threaten to start legal actions and possibly sue you in civil court ( if I thought that you owed me money, I would threaten to sue you in court using MCOL, the government civil justice system for small claims. )1 -
So I pay the nexus then yes... the UKPC letter is from the firm themselves. Should I pay the £60 early way out or ignore them?

Some newcomers appear to find it difficult to locate the Newbies thread. That could be partly due to it being the third thread down and not in bold as the threads above and below it.
Would it make sense to ask admin to move the Newbies thread to the top of the list and have it in bold?A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".1
