So you arent even 100% sure it’s gone elsewhere?
Have you actually been to the address & asked them if they received it, or it could be a simple case of lost in the post at the moment. 🤷♀️Life in the slow lane0 -
No because I’d feel embarrassed . The issue isn’t that I’ve not got the letter it’s that someone else may have read my letter.0

I certainly understand how you may feel.... a psychiatrist sent a report letter to a neighbour's address in error around 13 years ago now.... a report that contained particularly sensitive information about my observations of THEM! I struggled with that until I left the street a decade later and always looked for clues as to whether they ever read it.
What I would say is in this case unlikely to contain particularly sensitive info beyond disablement... but even still!"Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack1 -
I can understand why the OP is distressed, but what redress they may have will depend on how the wrong address was used. Was the wrong address provided in error by the OP or some other person?

“I have already said I had informed them of their error. “
He does say that he informed of this but the address used on the letter was the wrong one.
He has not stated what date he advised them of the error and what date the letter was issued.1 -

I can understand why that would be distressing.. id be upset too but am in the fortunate position that my neighbours across road and doors either side would and do bring post over.
I've had correctly addressed to their homes occasionally come through door so it is something that can happen.. especially if temp posties or letters damp and stick together.
Is there anyone who can go and ask fr you? I wonder if your usual postie would knock and check, or perhaps a local dog walker you may wave too. I know not everyone can get out of home, or accessibility barriers to other homes doors.
Can you pop a note in door so you can set your mind at ease.
Trauma triggers dont always make sense.. mine certainly don't. So I am sorry you have this extra worry on top of all the emotions around a PIP award.1 -
