Feeling very distressed

I’ve just discovered DWP have probably sent my pip appeal result to the wrong address. I had already informed them of their error . This is a close neighbour.
This explains why I haven’t received it. Im feeling distraught they have been sent details of my private medical history and as it’s Saturday afternoon I can do nothing Monday. I suffer from a lot of trauma and this is not good right now . The thought neighbours could be discussing my benefit claim and conditions is very hard to deal with.
I can’t even speak to a doctor.

Surely if your name is on the letter then they would just put it back in the post box with a 'not at the address' note on it? Or if they know your name they could pop it round to you. Most decent people would not open post with someone else's name on it.2

Two things firstly the result letter should contain no medical information.
Secondly, Why do you want to speak to a doctor? What are they going to do
I find it odd that they have sent it to the wrong address, although it does happen. Did your questionaire go to the right address? Most of the PIP process works on your NI number, which is only as good as the address you provide or it runs on drawing on a main computer (Eg youve changed your address with HMRC -DWP will flag the address)

"Probably".
So you arent even 100% sure its gone elsewhere?0 -
You clearly don’t have any understanding of the effects of trauma.
I have already said I had informed them of their error. It’s neither here nor there what happened before that. But they’ve used the right house number, initially , then the wrong house number. They were told by me, quite some weeks ago, now it seems they never amended it0 -
I can only imagine that you must be quite distressed by this which leads you to wanting to talk to a doctor. Is there anyone else that you might talk to instead? If you have a specific condition there is likely to be an organisation that has a care line available even on weekends. If there isn't one then you could always try calling Samaritans.
As for the practicalities....you say they "probably" have sent it to the wrong address. Maybe they haven't and things are just taking longer to get posted and delivered. If you often have an issue with post going to the wrong house nearby could you go and ask them if they've received anything? If it's been a common thing wouldn't they have got used to popping it over to you or back to the sender? Or just bin it? i hadn’t, but I thought it would follow on.Then some days later I get a letter saying I had already received the result of the appeal( I haven’t) addressed to the wrong house number but spotted by my postman and put through my door. If my regular postman wasn’t on that day it’s unlikely he’d know my house number was not correct1 -

Do you feel able to knock on the door of the neighbours and ask if they remember receiving the letter to put your mind at rest, or do you have anyone who could do this for you?2
