Oh I do hope the parcels stress all gets resolved!! 🤞
That's great news about the truck - Mr SL must be relieved and pleased as he sounds fond of it
(And like it is just the vehicle you need for bee-land traversing and not easy to replace.)
I do smile at Mr SL's less successful exploits - I'm sure there's loads of stuff he does really well, it's just we never get to hear about them!
🤣
I will be opening my purse (well, joint house account) for just one thing today - cash to pay the furniture cleaner who's coming to exorcise the smell of cat sick from my side of the sofa!
Oh and the kitchen island decor panels, if they have finally turned up!

He does do lots of things really well. It's rare but memorable mistakes. I must try harder to appreciate him on here. I really do.

@beanielou our son got a £25 voucher. We were wondering if it was via the big river company as they use RM to deliver their stuff. I don't know the Big River delivery chap to ask him if they (also) get it, but I've started giving feedback after deliveries. It takes a few seconds and it might result in a little bonus. We can but hope.beanielou said:Can you please remind me about what the lovely posties get if you give them good feedback. Thanks.
And my maligning of the Swiss mountain company was an unfounded concern. The gift from USA has just this minute been left in the box by the front door. Happy days!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here

Phew, a few lights are up in the lounge. I went along with Mr Sl's idea of not dusting or vacuuming just so far. He has no idea how many cobwebs there are! They were attaching themselves to the lights so I had to do a bit. Unfortunately I had to stop as this triggered a full blown wheezing attack, with runny eyes and nose. While a bit of long-stick vacuuming was OK, the "exhaust" from it in short mode most certainly wasn't. I need to do the rest today.
I need to get to the market this morning, as I have a bread order to collect. It is freezer-bound so we can have treats over Christmas (their almond croissants are to die for). I have debated long and hard with myself and I shall do the Morries shopping on Tuesday, after the meat is collected from round the corner at 07.00, or maybe before, if it is just veg by then. Mine opens at 06.00. I have to collect some bits from Waitflower, ahead of the thank you cocktails and nibbles on Monday evening. I will have both lists, but that will be Sunday if it isn't too ghastly.
A quick check of the bank accounts and there is enough there if I use my CC for the next bits. However, what is not OK is that Google has just sent me a critical security notification that some of my passwords have been found online in a data breach. I need to change all of them some urgently, the rest as I go in, I think. Just what you need in the run up to a busy period!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. Well that is not at all annoying! I got up at 05.15 to go shopping for 06.00 and the wretched place doesn't open until 07.00. I understand silly season in SM is fully underway and so I thought to split mine in two, with a quick trip this morning and the veg on Tuesday before I collect at the butcher's.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target.
