Parking ticket at b&q Farnborough by total parking solutions ltd

Hi,
I'm new to this site so please bear with me and guide me if possible.
I went with my husband to B&Q Farnborough yesterday. My husband dropped me at one end of the car park near the entrance and went and parked the car at the other end which is towards exit of the car park. I then went for shopping in b&Q and he left the site as he had to go to another superstore. The plan was that I shop here and he at the other store and after I finish, I'll pick him up.
I finished my shopping (I've the bill for it paid at 12:42) got to the car and found the parking ticket of £100 , £60 if paid within 14 days.
I was in rush as we had to pick our lo from nursery so I left the site with that.

I went back to the store today to speak to the store manager and I was told that as one person left the site you got ticket.
Luckily the ticket person came there And I got redirected to him.
I then explained him that I was dropped and my husband parked and left. He said he only saw my husband leaving from one end of the car park , it's big so he couldn't see me being dropped. He waited for 10 mins and then issued ticket. He suggested me to call them and explain.
Please can you advise what's the best way to win the appeal.
I'm attaching parking sign and ticket picture for ref.

Thanks so much in advance. This is an unwanted Christmas present

Study the newbies sticky thread in announcements

Follow plan A, without revealing who was driving, the royal WE will suffice for your case

Chances are that its a retail park, so the complaint by the registered keeper goes to the retail park management team or company, or directly to the landowner themselves. ( Might not be B&Q. ). Its 2 drivers, TPS has no idea who was driving so keep it that way

    Simple enough.

Plan A first (read the NEWBIES thread ... and please don't ask for another link to it).

Then the keeper (NOT DRIVER) appeals on the day that the NEWBIES thread says to appeal, for windscreen PCNs.

Exactly the same thing has just happened to me at Farnborough B&Q, I often park them, do other shop and then shop there and I have never had this happen or seen the signs - must be a new charge.
I wonder if there is any update to this as to whether they were able get the ticket cancelled

Doesn't matter either way, because nobody pays private parking charges all the time that the industry is unregulated.

Could do with an update from the OP though, if there's any news.

@parkingfinevictim I'd be interested to hear how this turned out.  My wife has just fallen victim to the same ploy.

Having looked on the Total Parking Solutions website, there are various pictures of her parked car, but absolutely nothing to suggest she has left the car park.  Presumably the onus is on TPS to provide concrete evidence, as opposed to the glib statement on the ticket?

Yes and this can win on appeal as they have zero evidence. No paying!

Read the MSE Guide linked in the red little banner 'MSE Link' at the top of the page. That's Martin Lewis' official guide; it matches what we advise, so it's not just a bunch of armchair lawyer strangers saying this!

Now to action: This month, we need you:.

PLEASE bookmark this thread below and do Public Consultation if you haven't done it yet. See this thread: -

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-8-weeks-from-11th-july-2025/p1

We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline! Just 2 weeks left but please don't rush it. You can do some then save it and come back to it as you have time.

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that.

So to try to help, I've written some guidance on that thread.

Any questions on the Consultation please ask - on the dedicated thread - but I've covered up to question 20 already in that first post, openly telling everyone what I'm going to put and/or what sort of evidence you might wish to use for your response, if you agree with what we'll be saying from our experience.

Whilst your answers must of course be your own, there are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people may not think of without our guidance because we see cases every day and we know the legal background. However, people like you have lived & breathed the intimidation, greed and unfairness first hand so your voice is needed!
