  • Same scam here with £29.99 on credit card payable to ok24care with Brockenhurst as the address. ok24care is a legitimate company providing customer services; they don't have offices in Brockenhurst and had no record of having charged my credit card or obtained my email addresses. So it looks as if media maze are simply using their name. The bank is being helpful and refunding.
  • Almost exactly the same as others have reported, except I didn't subscribe or pay for anything as far as I am aware.  £29.99 debited today by ok24care, having been pending for a couple of days.  I have never heard of them nor Media Maze (Digital). I contacted my bank, thinking it was taken using an old credit card number, but the card ending suggests it was done using Apple Pay.  Which means only I should have been able to take this action - on my phone.  Tracing my steps back, the only thing I did 7 days beforehand was to set up a 'seller' account with eBay, which uses my debit card, not Apple Pay. They deduct 1p but otherwise no more payments should be made unless trading, which I haven't done so far. I cancelled the 'subscription' with ok24care yesterday.

    I also wrote to Media Maze yesterday:
    "Hello. Like some others I have read about, I appear to have a pending charge of £29.99 for a subscription which I did not take out through Apple Pay. Apparently there is a 7 day trial, which I did not take up. I have not signed up for any subscriptions this past month, so how have I been signed up to something I never heard of? The payee on my bank account shows ok24care.com - another company I have never heard of. Either this payment needs to be cancelled or refunded if it has gone through. Please advise on the way forward. Regards."

    and their reply today:
    Dear Sir/Madam,
    Thank you for your email.
    We confirm that you have been unsubscribed from the requested services.
    We thank you for reaching out.
    Kind Regards
    Customer Support

    So very impersonal, possibly automated and I don't know what to do now.

We advise that refunds for card payments are granted at the sole discretion of our company and must comply with our Partners' refund policy.

    If you are not satisfied with your subscription, you may request a refund by contacting our customer support team at support@ok24care.com.     • Refund requests made outside of the mandatory time frame, where applicable;

    Similar happened to a friend of mine when a few of us met up for a coffee/lunch at a local (small chain) cafe. Cafe asks you to order via scanning a QR code at the top of the menu. Friend scanned and attempted (unsuccessfully) to order and then discovered she'd been signed up to a similar organisation. Thankfully she noticed in time to cancel the subscription. We raised issue with the cafe, who realised someone has been 'doctoring' their menus.
  • So following my post about Media Maze / ok24Care, I have written to both and all they have done is bluntly say that my subscription has been cancelled.  I have tried to contact ok24care but can't get through on the phone. I have tried using the Media Maze customer support form, but it just rejects anything your write and wipes clean the message box, after you have written something, stating 'A problem has occurred while sending your message. Please contact us using the other channels below.'  Rubbish!  This is a total scam and I can't afford to lose this money. I don't know how I can escalate this, but I want to. Not giving up!
