Sofa uncomfortable

About a year ago I bought a sofa from a major uk retailer and complained in writing that one cushion looked a slightly different shade. They agreed to exchange the sofa or cushion. I never responded because life took over. However, a month later I responded asking if we could return the sofa as completely unhappy with it plus and cushion issue. They never replied. Again life took over and now I have a sofa with a stupid cushion and also absolutely hate the comfort of it, it is so stiff and hasn’t softened in the slightest that I thought or expect it would.
Do I have any way of getting my money back or atleast some?

You'd potentially have avenues for redress if you can demonstrate that the sofa doesn't comply with its specification or a demonstrator that you sat on in store?0

Speak to the retailer in the first instance. They'll probably ask you to pay for an independent inspection and if that shows an inherent design flaw or build problem that makes the problem inevitable then you have the right to a repair, a replacement or a partial refund, whichever of those the retailer chooses. Plus the cost of the inspection refunded.0
