So someone has decided to register just to post how wonderful this cold calling outfit are. Joined at 14:19 and posting once at 14:45.

There is indeed an ECO 4 scheme.  However, Grantiau Cymru, are not on the obligated suppliers list and the OFGEM guidance does not suggest homeowners will be cold called.

However if Dannyducky92 can point to specific information on any reputable government or regulatory body website specifically accrediting Grantiau Cymru as an approved installer that would be greatly appreciated.

Along the lines of what I was thinking Mystery.

Also to update you all a bit, a few phone calls have been made.

Consumer Service (Citizens Advice) had a look at their leaflet and website, took all details, looked them up, took note of all the different phone numbers they use at geographical locations not matching the towns advertised in, the fact that their email address does not work, oh there were so many red flags that they decided to forward the case on to Trading Standards for further investigation and advised us not to touch them with a barge pole!

Thank you all for the advice on here, it really helped.
  • Well I have had experience of them. I made an enquiry in early July, answered all the necessary question including type of house construction etc. On 9th September I get a phone call to say all was fine, but then was asked the same questions? In October same thing, reassurance but same questions again.
Told as my wife was suffering from arthritis she would qualify.
They then arranged for a telephone appointment with their Doctor and then gave an appointment for the surveyor to call.
That appointment was for today and ...... told by surveyor that as our house was a cavity wall and had been filled with insulation then we didn't qualify.  Not bad at all, only 4 months ago and several times being asked the same question and telling them, yes a brick built house with cavity wall insulation,  the surveyor turns up saying your file says it's a solid stone wall???
    What a bunch of amateurs!!
Do yourselves a favour stay well clear!!!
    Finally got an app
