Land Registry Expedite Service - supporting documents

Hi, I've requested a Land Registry expedition as we are remortgaging our property that we purchased outright in March, in order to fund further renovations.  The application to expedite has been accepted.  They have said they should contact me within 10 working days and may require further documentation in order to complete the process.  Any idea what this documentation may be so I can have it ready if and when it is requested? The property is an old house that has never been registered previously.  The conveyancers requested a new registration after the purchase was completed.  The new lenders are unable to proceed until they have sight of the land registry document.  Thanks for any advice anyone can provide.

Calling @Land_Registry, though having read some of his previous comments, expediting means your application is dealt with within 10 working days, but requires everything to be in order.

Indeed re expedition being a fast-track to the processing start line only. Everything thereafter depends on whether the application is in order and what 'more' is needed.
I suspect, but hopefully the OP can confirm, that what they are referring to is the expedition approval which then goes on to say something along the lines of
"They will aim to process your application as a priority and this may give rise to requests for information (requisitions) or other matters, such as prior applications or official searches that need to be considered before it can be completed" - if so then that's not saying that 'more' will be needed but simply flagging the possibility.
Too many people see the '10 days' mentioned and think that's it, all done within 10 days and whilst possible it's not always the case.
So expedition gets you on the starting blocks - whether it's then the sprint you want or a longer distance all depends on what's been applied for and if everything is in order

Hi Land Registry Representative.  Thank you for responding.  Yes, that's the email I received.  I know the process may still take longer, but just wanted to know what documents may be requested so I can check to see if I already have them available or can make a start on finding out where to obtain them in readiness.  I assume the conveyancer will have already sent whatever documents are required in terms of previous sales transactions and boundary information (this is just a crude drawing from 1920s or so) that I have copies of.  The property was last sold in 1972 before we purchased it in March this year.  I've already uploaded the mortgage offer from the new lender when I made the request to expedite, so I just wondered what other documentation may be required.

Nobody knows if any 'more' will be required. The confirmation simply alerts the recipient to the fact that expedition is not a 'magic wand' and IF 'more' is needed we will request that from the applicant or advise them as to for example a site visit/survey or wider checks being required as appropriate
There is nothing you can prepare for at this stage so you need to wait for it to be processed and if your solicitor receives a request

Thank you for taking the time to respond.  So basically I need to be patient and stop fretting :)
Patience is not a strength I possess, but I'll try ;)

Absolutely correct - whilst it's important to plan ahead there's no point at all in pre-fretting something that may not actually happen. If your solicitor says that they have made a correct and full application then you must trust them to have done so.
