Lloyds new design debit card

It's like any product design really, they can use the card to raise brand awareness etc. Monzo hwve a gaudy bright orange one which gets people's attention and acts as free advertising. I think it's revolting but I can live with it as their app is so good.Theleak250 said:
The banks would disagree. They spend a lot of money and time on these designs. I think first direct probably has a very basic design. I agree some banks worry more about brand than practice matters however. Barclays hasn’t changed its design for many years. Perhaps only recently. Some banks are worse than others. But I value a nice design.JosephK said:As long as it works, doesn't really matter what it looks like0 -
I knew they would not be able to resist the bright green somewhere. And people said it would not happen.0

I was hoping it'd be pink, to match my cheques... 😂0

I doubt it will be pink lol 😂0

And I was hoping it would be rubber.......Barkin said:I was hoping it'd be pink, to match my cheques... 😂

I’ve recently upgraded from Club Lloyds to Platinum and I’m thinking of reverting back purely because the debit card is hideous. It looks like a tacky “rebuild your credit” credit card, rather than a regular debit card.I’m trying to refrain from using Apple Pay due to the recent increase in phone thefts, but pulling out this awful shiny silver card is making me reconsider my options.0

Nobody looks at a credit card and pays any attention to the colour or makes assumptions about the tier of the card. You might dislike the colour which is fine - keep it in the wallet perhaps to scan if no other cards - but seriously nobody will care what card you haveTereha_007 said:I’ve recently upgraded from Club Lloyds to Platinum and I’m thinking of reverting back purely because the debit card is hideous. People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Use Apple Pay or Google Pay instead of the actual card, and nobody will ever see what it looks like.1

I'd add to my own post, Aqua did a card ages ago with 0.5% cashback IIRC, I'd be flashing that sub-prime card like a streaker in an 80s football game if it meant I got free moneyNasqueron said:

Is this London as on my last visit, a shoplifter practically strolled out of the store and security/staff/customers did nothing. Are there lots of phone thefts in local retail stores when using Apple Pay?Tereha_007 said:I’ve recently upgraded from Club Lloyds to Platinum and I’m thinking of reverting back purely because the debit card is hideous.
