Yodel claim for lost parcel

I dropped parcel off at collection point.  I received a receipt. Package was never delivered.  I put in a claim with yodel, but only received the postage cost, not the value of the item.  How can I get the item cost.  It was insured for £30.  Thsnk you

What was the actual value of the item?

If it was >£30, did Yodel know?

No, it was under £30.  When it came to the claim, I was only claiming for the value I sold it for on eBay, which was £11.  Not slot, but it’s the principal and they should pay up!

    I don't understand.

You say it was insured for £30.

So why have they told you they won't pay up?

Not something they have exclusions on?

They said it was never collected from the pick up point.  The yodel service I paid for said it would be insured for up to £30

Do the pick up point still have it?

How do you know it was never delivered?

(Honestly this would be a lot easier if you just told the whole story in one post instead of having to be prompted to give it in dribs and drabs...

eg Is this a private sale or the sending of a gift or what?

Who is the recipient?  A customer or a friend or a relative?

If you are relying on their word that it wasn't delivered, can you trust them?

What does the receipt say?  Is it proof that you dropped the toy off at the collection point?)

Phoned the shop (Jempson’s in Battle, East Sussex) and they said they definitely don’t have it. 😕

The reason why I posted this, is that I wanted to know if there is any recourse for me to take this further and make yodel accountable.  They lost it, plain and simple, and they won’t pay up.
