I bought a car in October 2007, I am trying to see if I can claim against the DCA, I have contacted the car dealership and they have given me the details of the broker who they used at the time which was GE Woodchester, they are listed on the FCA as a company no longer in business. What are my next steps please as I don’t have an email address to send the complaint/query to, or does anybody else have any experience of dealing and claiming through closed companies, thanks in advance

They're not only no longer in business but the company has been dissolved so no longer exists. Wait for the FCA report as they will probably consider companies that have ceased trading.0

It may well form part of the FCA review when it is published next year (or the year after subject to court cases and them now taking on additional rulings that are being appealed). However, the FSCS may well be the ones to decide whether it is within their remit or not. You cannot do a thing until this information is known.

Whatever happens, the FSCS will not include a 2007 loan within their remit. Consumer credit was not regulated until 2014.1
