Check your council as some do offer renovation waste collection for a small fee. Mine doesn't but the borough nearby do.
Depending on the condition, it might be worth placing an advert on Freecycle - some might be interested in tiles or even shower tray.1 -
Ages ago I lived in a friend's newly renovated house. There was a whole lot of waste in the back garden, and he was surprised that a local licensed waste removal contractor was willing to carry it all to the street and remove it in a van for less than the cost of a skip or hippo bag, even though we'd have had to do all the labour with those options.
Phone around for a quote and you might be pleasantly surprised! Do please only use a reputable licensed operator and make sure you get all the paperwork, though. ISTR you can be held responsible if your stuff ends up fly-tipped somewhere and you didn't get the right documentation.2 -

benson1980 said:Hughes waste- depends where you are in West Sussex but they cover Chichester. I’ve used them loads of times and always been reliable and 1 tonne grab bags are £72. If they don’t cover your area I’d just google similar and see who offers grab bag collection where you are.
I’ve always found hippo ridiculously expensive thus you will be able to find something cheaper.
I ordered a 1 tonne grab bag from Hughes this morning. Ninety minutes later a van turned up with the bag. The driver said that she was in my local area when my order came through.
The deal is that I pay nothing until they collect and then the cost is £72.
I said that I might need a second bag so she gave me two bags. I only need to pay for the second bag if I use it. Otherwise I can return it unused when they collect the filled bag and only pay £72 for that one. A very decent arrangement.
Thanks also to everyone else who has posted and commented.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".1 -
If you do go with a man and van type service, please make sure they have a waste carriers license and leave you with paperwork. Lots of people offering waste disposal are fly tipping it. If the rubbish can be traced back to you, you become liable for it.2

Thanks Rob. We have a major problem with fly tipping in our area (Chichester in West Sussex) and I don't want to add to that.
Hughes are well established.

Have you tried your local authority? Often the cheapest rate going.0

Where are you in west Sussex? I’m on the border with Hampshire and we have a local company (hughes waste) who police a tonne bag and collect for £652006 LBM £28,000+ in debt.
